Psychotherapy/Healing/Wellness Sessions
A combination of various approaches tailored to the audience, will be used for psychotherapy, healing or wellness. There will be group and individual sessions focusing on integration of body, mind and spirit. Some of the following plus more approaches may be used.
01.
Shielding, in the context of spirituality or energy work, refers to the practice of creating an energetic barrier or protection around oneself. It is done to maintain personal energetic boundaries, prevent energy drain, and safeguard against negative or unwanted influences.

Just as physical boundaries protect us from unwanted intrusions, energetic boundaries safeguard our personal energy field. Shielding can assist in preventing energetic leaks or taking on the energy of others, which can lead to fatigue, emotional overwhelm, or feeling drained.

For individuals who are empathic or highly sensitive, shielding can be particularly helpful. Empaths have a heightened ability to sense and absorb the emotions and energies of others, which can be overwhelming or draining. Shielding can assist in managing and regulating the influx of external energies, allowing empaths to maintain a sense of balance and well-being.

Shielding is beneficial in preserving personal space and privacy, especially in crowded or energetically intense environments. It creates a sense of energetic privacy that allows individuals to maintain their own energy and prevent unnecessary energetic entanglements with others.

Existential well-being is bringing balance in physical, social, psychological
and spiritual realms of experience.
-
In the physical dimension safety, comfort, pleasure, health and external beauty are important values.
-
In the social dimension, important categories are status, recognition and success, but also caring for others, having responsibility, friendship and belonging.
-
In the psychological or personal dimension, self-knowledge, self-actualisation, autonomy and freedom are of great importance.
-
The spiritual, or the transcendental dimension includes faith, spiritual values & finding ultimate meaning, the confidence that there is a meaningful direction that develops in all life.

Sessions in existential well-being involve becoming conscious of all the four dimensions, identifying where is the imbalance and then working towards balancing it.
03.
We are conditioned/programmed to see, think, behave and believe in ways which are sometimes good for us, but also detrimental to our well being and individuality. But by the time we realise our conditioned responses, they have created deep roots and become second nature. While they annoy us no end, it is not easy getting rid of them. But with specific tools and techniques designed specially to render them helpless, you can regain your freedom.
Benefits for you:
-
Break old patterns and conditioned responses by creating new pathways.
-
Be responsive instead of being reactive.
04.
Pranayama is a term from yoga that refers to various breathing exercises and techniques. It is derived from two Sanskrit words: "prana," meaning life force or vital energy, and "ayama," meaning control or extension. Pranayama involves conscious regulation of breath to manipulate and direct the
flow of prana in the body.
Pranayama is considered an essential aspect of yoga practice and has been used for centuries to promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Here are a few reasons
why one might practice pranayama:

-
Balancing energy: Pranayama aims to balance the flow of prana throughout the body. By regulating the breath, one can influence the subtle energy channels (nadis) and energy centers (chakras) within the body, promoting overall vitality and equilibrium.
-
Stress reduction and relaxation: Certain pranayama techniques, such as deep diaphragmatic breathing or alternate nostril breathing, activate the body's relaxation response and help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension. They can induce a state of calm and tranquility.
-
Enhanced mental clarity and focus: Pranayama techniques involve conscious breath control and concentration, which can sharpen mental focus, improve concentration, and enhance overall cognitive function. They may also help calm the mind and relieve restlessness.
05.
Focusing is an approach to psychotherapy developed by psychologist Eugene Gendlin. It is based on the idea that our bodies hold valuable information about our emotional experiences and can guide the therapeutic process. Focusing involves paying attention to bodily sensations and using them as a source of insight and healing.
In Focusing, the therapist guides the individual through a gentle exploration of the felt sense. This involves inviting curiosity and open-ended questions to help the individual deepen their understanding of the bodily sensations and their connection to emotions, memories, or unresolved issues. Focusing can help individuals access and work through unresolved emotional experiences, traumas, or conflicts.
Focusing can be used as a standalone therapy or integrated into other therapeutic approaches. It has been applied in various contexts, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and group work. Focusing has shown effectiveness in addressing a range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and personal growth.

06.
Assertiveness is mostly a learnt behaviour. If you find yourself not being assertive enough, don't blame yourself. It is just that nobody taught you how to be assertive. It is easy and more natural to be either submissive or aggressive. However, when we are submissive to others we end up feeling inadequate, and if we have been aggressive to others then we feel regretful and guilty. Learning to be assertive can help us stand up for what we believe in without undermining the beliefs of others.
Learn to practise assertiveness in one-on-one sessions.
Benefits:
-
Positive interactions and inter-personal relationships.
-
No post-interaction guilt trips.
-
Improved communication
-
Enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence.
07.

Lateral thinking is about reasoning that is not immediately obvious and about ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic. It differs from vertical thinking though does not make it redundant. A combination of vertical and lateral thinking abilities
allows one to have tremendous possibilities.

-
Recharging the brain and opening up new neural pathways

Increasing connectivity between right and left brain
